Can You Treat Lung Cancer With Osimertinib?

Isotretinoin, a drug to treat cancer of the colon, lungs, and stomach has been shown to reduce the risk of all kinds of cancer. But it is particularly effective in fighting cancer of the gastrointestinal tract, a condition that accounts for about a quarter of all cancers.

Although AZD-9291 like Lenvatinib is not a standard recommended dosage, doctors frequently advise patients to take one thousand milligrams per dose. That amount is enough to reduce the risks of all kinds of cancer in people who follow the manufacturer’s dosage recommendations.

However, when doctors treat patients who have already been diagnosed with cancer of the gastrointestinal tract, they often recommend treating patients with high doses of vitamin C and other antioxidants instead of prescribing Isotretinoin. Because of the potential toxicity of Vitamin C, doctors who prescribe it for this purpose often recommend taking Vitamin C supplements in addition to Isotretinoin. The combination of drugs seems to be more effective in the treatment of patients who have been diagnosed with cancer of the gastrointestinal tract.

Some evidence suggests that Vitamin C may help prevent the development of lung cancer in smokers. In mice, studies have shown that low doses of Vitamin C promoted tumor growth prevention. Vitamin C has also been shown to prevent the growth of tumors in the stomach tissue in mice. There is some evidence that Vitamin C can shrink tumors in people who have pancreatic cancer, but more research is needed to determine whether it is an effective treatment for that disease.

The results of studies testing vitamin C on cancer of the gastrointestinal tract are not conclusive, however, and more studies are needed to determine if vitamin C is a beneficial treatment for lung cancer.

Another drug to treat lung cancer with is Herceptin. Like Isotretinoin, it works by inhibiting the action of a particular protein, called collagenase. Collagenase is part of what causes the skin to stretch, thereby causing it to wrinkle and sag. Scientists believe that the loss of collagenase activity contributes to the formation of tumors in the gastrointestinal tract. This is the same reason why patients taking chemotherapy drugs often complain of frequent constipation and gas.

Scientists have also tested human cells in the lab with a compound called nicotinamide, which is the main component of Osimertinib. It apparently prevents the conversion of vitamin A into vitamin D, which is essential for strong bone growth.

Nicotinamide has the same effect on lung cancer cells that Osimertin has, although nicotinamide is much weaker than Osimertinib. Although nicotinamide is weaker than Osimertinib, it is much easier to administer than the drug itself, so doctors prefer to use this drug rather than Osimertinib.

Osimertinib, like all other anti-cancer drugs, can have some unpleasant side effects, such as dizziness, headache, diarrhea, and nosebleeds. It can cause constipation and gas as well, so patients should be sure they can handle the side effects before starting treatment.

In fact, if you experience any of these symptoms, you should stop taking the drug immediately and talk to your doctor about its possible effectiveness and side effects. However, scientists are optimistic about the potential use of this new wonder drug to treat lung cancer. You can contact us for more details.
